Jiu-jitsu without strings attached

Our coaches needed an environment in which they could pursue highly competitive jiu-jitsu without asking anyone's permission to learn. That necessity became Creonte.

In traditional BJJ culture, “creonte” has sometimes been used as an insult for a student who changes teams. We chose the name deliberately. We encourage members to visit other rooms, learn from different people and expose themselves to more ideas.

Train for your reasons

Not everyone wants to compete. Some people want technical mastery, fitness, community, practical grappling or a difficult problem to work on. The standard of coaching stays high; your reason for training remains your own.

Leave everything else outside

Our culture is simple: arrive to train, work hard, respect your partners and leave ego and politics at the door. We train jiu-jitsu, we wrestle, and we keep the room focused.
